According to the latest data from the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered in India so far. Of these, 95.21 crores are second doses, and 22.87 crores are Precaution Doses. In the last 24 hours, 397 doses were administered. The active caseload in India currently stands at 53,720, which is just 0.12% of the total cases reported. The country’s recovery rate is now at 98.69%, with 6,628 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,42,23,211.
However, there were 10,753 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate stands at 6.78%. The weekly positivity rate is 4.49%. To date, a total of 92.38 crore tests have been conducted, with 1,58,625 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
While the vaccination drive has been successful in reducing the number of active cases, it is still important to continue following COVID-19 guidelines to prevent further spread. The government continues to encourage people to wear masks, practice social distancing, and wash hands regularly. With the recent surge in cases in some states, it is essential to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to stay safe.
