As per the latest update on the nationwide vaccination drive in India, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. Out of this, 95.21 crore doses have been given as the second dose, and 22.87 crore doses have been administered as a precautionary dose. In the last 24 hours, 2,055 doses were administered, which is an encouraging sign for the ongoing vaccination drive.
The active caseload currently stands at 21,406, which is just 0.05% of the total reported cases. The recovery rate is at an impressive 98.77%, with 3,430 recoveries in the last 24 hours alone. The total number of recoveries has now increased to 4,44,21,781.
However, 2,109 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, which indicates that the virus is still present and active. The daily positivity rate is 1.32%, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.80%. This suggests that the virus is still spreading but at a slower pace.
The total number of tests conducted in the country so far stands at 92.80 crores, with 1,59,454 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. With the ongoing vaccination drive and the decreasing number of active cases, there is hope that the situation will continue to improve in the coming days. However, it is essential to remain vigilant and follow all necessary precautions to prevent the further spread of the virus.
