As per the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 220.66 crores of COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive in India. Out of these, 95.21 crore doses have been given as the second dose, while 22.87 crores have been given as the precautionary dose. In the last 24 hours, 1,993 doses were administered.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 25,587, which is only 0.06% of the total cases reported. The country’s recovery rate stands at 98.75%, with 2,826 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,82,538. On the other hand, 5,335 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, with a daily positivity rate of 3.32% and a weekly positivity rate of 2.89%.
The Ministry also reported that a total of 92.23 crore tests have been conducted so far, with 1,60,742 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. As the COVID-19 situation continues to improve in India, the government and health officials continue to urge citizens to follow COVID-19-appropriate behavior and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
