782 new COVID-19 cases reported on 20-05-2023 for last 24 hours.

As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered in India so far. Out of these, 95.21 crore doses were given as the second dose, providing individuals with complete immunization, while 22.87 crore doses were administered as a precautionary measure. In the last 24 hours alone, 978 doses were administered, showcasing the ongoing efforts to vaccinate the population.

Currently, India’s active caseload stands at 8,675, accounting for just 0.02% of the total cases. The recovery rate in the country is a promising 98.80%, reflecting the effectiveness of medical interventions and treatment protocols. Over the last 24 hours, 1,193 individuals recovered from the virus, leading to a cumulative total of 4,44,45,206 recoveries.

While the number of recoveries continues to rise, there were 782 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the daily positivity rate to 0.61%, which remains relatively low. Additionally, the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.77%, reflecting the sustained efforts in controlling the spread of the virus.

India has conducted a massive number of tests to identify and track COVID-19 cases, with a total of 92.93 crore tests conducted thus far. In the last 24 hours, 1,29,101 tests were conducted to ensure early detection and timely intervention.
