As per the latest update, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive in India. Out of these, 95.21 crore doses have been administered as the second dose, and 22.87 crore doses have been given as a precautionary dose. In the last 24 hours, 4,358 doses have been administered. The active caseload in the country currently stands at 57,410, which is only 0.13% of the total cases reported.
The recovery rate is quite impressive, standing at 98.69%, with 12,932 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,43,35,977. However, 9,355 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate is at 4.08%, while the weekly positivity rate is at 5.36%.
The total number of tests conducted so far in the country is 92.60 crore, out of which 2,29,175 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. The government is continually urging citizens to follow all necessary precautions to control the spread of the virus and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
