A cyclonic circulation is currently positioned over the Southeast Arabian Sea in lower tropospheric levels. Simultaneously, a trough in westerlies at mid-tropospheric levels runs approximately along Long. 84°E to the north of Lat. 26°N. These weather systems play a pivotal role in influencing the local weather conditions and precipitation patterns.

Rainfall Warning:

  • Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya (13th December): Light to moderate rainfall isolated to some places is expected, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning.
  • Kerala & Mahe and Tamil Nadu (16th & 17th December): Light to moderate rainfall at some to many places is anticipated, along with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. South Tamil Nadu may experience isolated heavy rainfall on 16th & 17th December.
  • Remaining Parts of the Country (Next 5 Days): No significant weather is expected over the rest of the country during the next five days.

Hailstorm Warning:

  • Arunachal Pradesh (13th December): Isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh may witness hailstorms on the 13th of December.

Dense Fog Warning:

  • North Punjab, North Haryana, and North Uttar Pradesh (13th – 15th December): Dense fog is very likely in isolated pockets over these regions.
  • Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura (13th & 14th December): Dense fog is expected in the mentioned northeastern states.

Minimum Temperatures Forecast:

No significant changes are expected in minimum temperatures over most parts of the country during the next 4-5 days.
