In a remarkable achievement, Adil Rashid, the talented England spinner, has ascended to the coveted number one position in the ICC men’s T20I player rankings. This remarkable feat comes on the heels of Adil Rashid’s stellar performances in the ongoing five-match series against the West Indies, which is currently level at 2-2 with one match remaining.
Adil Rashid’s exceptional spin prowess has been on full display, culminating in a five-wicket haul across three matches, propelling him to the summit of the bowlers’ list. This marks the first time in Rashid’s career that he has claimed the number-one position in the ICC T20I rankings.

“Among other notable advancements in the ODI bowling rankings, left-arm wrist spinners Tabraiz Shamsi and Kuldeep Yadav have made significant strides. Shamsi has broken into the top 10, while Yadav’s stellar five-wicket performance in the third and final match against South Africa in Johannesburg has propelled him 13 places to the 24th position”.
The latest weekly rankings update also reflects positive movements for other bowlers, including South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj, who climbed five places to the 19th position, and India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj, surging 37 places to the 69th position. The dynamic shifts in rankings underscore the stellar performances and competitive spirit in international T20 cricket.
