The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has commenced the admission process for students from classes 1 to 12, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for countless students across the country. Prospective candidates can now apply for admission to class 1 by submitting online applications through the official website, https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/. The deadline for class 1 admissions is set for April 15, providing parents ample time to complete the necessary procedures.
As per the admission guidelines, children seeking admission to class 1 must be at least 6 years old as of March 31, 2024. Additionally, offline registrations for classes 2 and above are currently underway, with the registration window closing on April 10. It’s noteworthy that KVS has introduced a new admission portal to streamline the admission process across its 1254 Kendriya Vidyalayas.
“Furthermore, registration for Kindergarten levels – Bal Vatika Level-1, 2, and 3 – has also commenced from April 1. Children aged between 3 to 6 years as of March 31, 2024, are eligible for registration in these levels”.
In line with the inclusive ethos of Kendriya Vidyalayas, the admission process ensures seat reservations for children from various categories. As per regulations, 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to secure admissions for their children in the esteemed Kendriya Vidyalaya network. With a commitment to providing quality education and holistic development, Kendriya Vidyalayas continue to serve as pillars of academic excellence and opportunity for students nationwide.
