Conditions are favorable for further advancement into parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Northwest Bay of Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, and Bihar over the next 4-5 days.

Weather Systems and Forecast
A cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam, along with an east-west trough from central Uttar Pradesh to east Meghalaya, is influencing widespread rainfall. Expect light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in northeastern states and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim for the next week. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in these areas, with extremely heavy rainfall in Meghalaya and Assam during mid-June.
Rainfall in Other Regions
Strong westerly winds along India’s west coast are causing widespread rainfall in Konkan & Goa, with scattered rainfall in Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada. Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, and other southern regions will also experience significant rainfall. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Marathwada, Konkan & Goa, Kerala & Mahe, and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in mid-June.
Heat Wave Warnings
Extreme heat conditions persist, with maximum temperatures reaching 44-46°C in many parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and East Madhya Pradesh. Severe heat wave conditions are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand from June 15-19. Heat waves may also affect Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Division, and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Warm nights are likely in northeast Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
