Yogi Adityanath Urges Devotees to Avoid Rumors After Mahakumbh Incident

Prayagraj Mahakumbh Stampede: Following the stampede at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a statement urging people not to heed rumors.

He advised those near the ghats of Maa Ganga to proceed with their bathing rituals but avoid heading towards Sangam Nose, where the incident occurred.

The CM emphasized the availability of multiple ghats for bathing and called for cooperation with the administration’s safety arrangements.

Fair Officer’s Briefing on the Mahakumbh Stampede

Fair Officer Vijay Kiran Anand briefed CM Yogi on the details surrounding the stampede, informing him of the causes and ensuring the administration would take necessary actions to avoid further incidents. The situation was assessed, and steps were discussed to improve crowd management.

Religious Leaders’ Appeal

Alongside CM Yogi, prominent religious figures, including Swami Rambhadracharya, also appealed to devotees. The saint urged pilgrims to forgo the rush to bathe at Sangam and instead use the nearest ghats. He emphasized safety, asking people to remain within their camps and protect each other, while also discouraging attention to rumors.
