Aamir Khan is an Indian film actor, producer and television personality. He has established himself as one of the leading actors of Hindi cinema. Khan made his acting debut in 1988 with a supporting role in the family drama “Sarfarosh”.
He then appeared in a leading role in the romantic drama “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994), which was a box office flop, but earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Comedian nomination. After several unsuccessful films, Khan achieved success with his role in the family drama “Dil Chahta Hai” (2001), which marked a turning point in his career. He went on to star in several successful films, including “Lagaan” (2001), “Ghajini” (2008), “3 Idiots” (2009), “Dhoom 3” (2013), and “PK” (2014).
One of his film productions has also received an Academy Award nomination in 2003, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India and in 2010, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2017, he was honoured with an honorary title by the Government of China.
