Hyderabad: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah addresses the convocation ceremony of the 74th batch of IPS trainee officers at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. The passing out parade was attended by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Telangana, Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan, and the Director of the Academy, Shri AS Rajan.
In his address, Shri Amit Shah paid tribute to the 36,000 martyred police personnel who made supreme sacrifices for the internal security of the nation. He also highlighted the importance of the 74th batch of trainee officers, who he referred to as the “batch of Amrit Kaal,” and expressed confidence in their capabilities and dedication to face any challenges that may arise.
The Union Home Minister also spoke about India’s progress over the last 75 years, from its violent past to its current status as a vibrant nation with a global presence. He emphasized the role of All India Services, as envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in maintaining the integrity of the country under a federal constitution.
Shri Amit Shah also spoke about the Prime Minister’s initiative to establish the “Police Technology Mission,” aimed at empowering all police institutions in the country to tackle technical challenges and keep pace with global technological advancements. The mission will make the entire police system, from constables to DGP, tech-savvy and better equipped to meet the challenges of the future.
The convocation ceremony was a testament to the achievements of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy and the dedication of the IPS trainee officers to serve and protect the country.
Amit Shaah said, “The foundation of a great India is being laid today by PM Narendra Modi and the officers passing out of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy will have to ensure the new India’s internal security”.
