On the 17th of June Amit Shah, a prominent political figure and Minister of Home Affairs praised the combined efforts of the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat in saving the lives of more than 1 lakh fishermen. He highlighted the crucial role played by various agencies, including NDRF, SDRF, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, BSF, State Police, and State Reserve Police.
Saving Lives: A Joint Effort
Amit Shah acknowledged the tremendous work carried out by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat in saving the lives of over 1 lakh fishermen. He highlighted the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies involved in this operation. He specifically mentioned the contributions of 19 teams of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force), 13 teams of SDRF (State Disaster Response Force), and two reserve battalions.
