Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended heartfelt greetings to the citizens of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava, the foundation day that commemorates the state’s establishment. Shah acknowledged the state’s remarkable cultural heritage and mineral resources, describing Chhattisgarh as a source of pride for the entire nation.
Designated as a separate state on November 1, 2000, Chhattisgarh’s foundation day holds great historical significance. The mythological name ‘Kaushal Rajya,’ referring to the mother of Lord Shri Ram, signifies the state’s deep-rooted historical connections.
“Shah emphasized the cultural significance of Chhattisgarh, acknowledging the art and tribal heritage that has been a source of pride for the country. “The art and tribal culture of Chhattisgarh is the pride of the entire India,” stated Shah, underlining the state’s contribution to India’s cultural diversity”.
“Furthermore, Shah highlighted the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, towards the comprehensive development of Chhattisgarh. “Under the leadership of Modi ji, BJP is committed to the development of this state and the happiness and welfare of its people,” expressed Shah, affirming the party’s dedication to the state’s growth and prosperity”.
Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava is commemorated with a five-day festival, symbolizing the state’s unity, cultural diversity, and developmental journey. The event showcases the vibrant culture and traditions of Chhattisgarh, paying tribute to the role of tribes in shaping the state’s heritage.
