Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed heartfelt greetings to the sisters and brothers of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s Foundation Day. Shah emphasized the significance of the day, highlighting the state’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and remarkable progress in development and welfare measures for the underprivileged.
Madhya Pradesh Day celebrated on November 1, commemorates the formation of the state in 1956 when Central Provinces and Berar, Madhya Bharat, Vindhya Pradesh, and Bhopal amalgamated to form the state of Madhya Pradesh. Initially, Bhopal was chosen as the capital, marking a significant historical milestone. In 2022, the state celebrated its 67th Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal as part of the Jan Utsav festival.
“Shah expressed his admiration for the state’s ongoing commitment to development, setting new benchmarks in progress and welfare initiatives every day. He praised Madhya Pradesh for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, which stand as a testament to the state’s rich legacy and potential for growth”.
The celebration spans from November 1 to November 7 and encompasses a diverse array of programs and events. These include Ladli Laxmi Yojana, sporting activities, cuisine competitions, dramatic performances, painting contests, and folk dances. These festivities not only mark the state’s Foundation Day but also serve as a vibrant showcase of Madhya Pradesh’s diverse cultural tapestry.
“Shah’s warm wishes and acknowledgment of the state’s strengths echo the vision for Madhya Pradesh to achieve new heights of development and progress in the forthcoming years. The state’s commitment to initiatives promoting welfare and cultural preservation remains a cornerstone in its journey toward a brighter and more prosperous future”.
