Union Home Minister Amit Shah has raised serious allegations against the Congress party, questioning the origins of large sums of money found in the possession of its members. Shah revealed that authorities discovered 300 crores at the home of a Member of Parliament from Jharkhand and an additional 30 crores at the residence of a personal assistant to a party leader.
Speaking at a public event, Amit Shah challenged the Congress party to clarify the situation, stating, “300 crores were found from the house of an MP from Jharkhand, 30 crores were found from the house of a leader’s PA… Congress party should answer whose money is this?” His comments have intensified scrutiny of the party and its financial dealings.
Shah further suggested that Congress might avoid taking action against those involved to prevent the full truth from coming to light. “He claimed, “Congress will grant a ticket to the person from whose house the money was found because if his ticket is canceled, he will reveal whose money it is.” This implies that the party may continue to support the implicated individuals to keep the source of the money hidden.
The allegations have added a new layer of controversy to the ongoing debate over corruption and accountability within political circles. Amit Shah’s remarks highlight the need for transparency and ethical conduct among public officials and party members.
In response to Shah’s assertions, the Congress party is facing mounting pressure to address the concerns and clarify the situation. The discovery of such substantial amounts of cash has raised significant questions about financial practices and the integrity of political representatives.
