Nag Ashwin’s upcoming sci-fi epic, “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, has been generating immense anticipation among cinephiles. Recently, the makers unveiled a significant announcement regarding Amitabh Bachchan’s character in the film.
In a teaser promo, viewers caught a glimpse of Bachchan adorned in yellow attire, engaged in prayer before a Shiva linga within a cave setting. When asked about his identity by a child, Bachchan’s character responds with a cryptic revelation: “Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama.”
This revelation has set the stage for Amitabh Bachchan to essay the role of Ashwatthama, an immortal character from Hindu mythology, in the magnum opus “Kalki 2898 AD.” The glimpse of Bachchan’s portrayal as Ashwatthama was unveiled in Nemawar, Madhya Pradesh, adding to the intrigue surrounding the film.
