India’s ePlane Company: Imagine a commute free from traffic snarls, where traveling across town for important events is as convenient and affordable as booking an Uber ride. This vision is becoming a reality, thanks to the groundbreaking efforts of the ePlane Company, an IIT Madras-incubated firm.
The ePlane Company is developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) air taxi, aiming to transform urban mobility. If successful, this innovative project will mark a significant milestone, positioning India among the world’s pioneers in electric flying taxis.
Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, praised IIT Madras for its pivotal role in promoting innovation, citing it as one of the world’s most dynamic incubators.
