Anil Kapoor (born: December 24, 1959) is a famous actor of Hindi films.
Film journey
Anil Kapoor made his Bollywood debut as a supporting actor with Umesh Mehra’s Hamare Tumhare (1979). After a few minor roles in ‘Hum Paanch’ (1980) and ‘Shakti’ (1982), he got his first lead role in ‘Woh Saat Din’ in 1983 in which he delivered an outstanding and natural performance. Kapoor later tried acting in Tollywood and did the Telugu film ‘Vamsavriksham’ and Mani Ratnam’s first Kannada film ‘Pallavi Anupalavi’ (1983). He then gave a fine performance in Yash Chopra’s ‘Mashaal’ where He showed his acting skills opposite Dilip Kumar. In films like Meri Jung (1985), he played the role of an angry young lawyer fighting for justice, which established him as a mature actor. Apart from this, Anil Kapoor did films like ‘Karma’, ‘Mr India’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ram Lakhan’ which took him to the heights of stardom.
Personal Life
Anil Kapoor is the son of well-known film producer Surendra Kapoor. He was born in Tilak Nagar, Mumbai. His elder brother Boney Kapoor is a famous producer and his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor is also an actor. He married Sunita Kapoor in 1984 and they have three children named Harshvardhan Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.
