Western Disturbance in Mid-Tropospheric Levels:

A western disturbance is observed as a trough in mid-tropospheric levels, extending along Long. 65°E to the north of Lat. 30°N. This disturbance is expected to impact weather patterns in the specified region.

Trough in Easterlies and Interaction Over Central Parts:

A trough in easterlies stretches from North Kerala to North Madhya Maharashtra in lower tropospheric levels. Over the next three days, an interaction is anticipated between middle-level westerlies and lower-level easterlies over the central parts of the country.

    • Heavy rainfall/snowfall at isolated places over Kashmir-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on 30th November.
  • Northwest India:
    • Light rainfall is very likely at isolated places over the plains during the next two days.
  • Central India (Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha):
    • Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms & lightning over the next two days.
    • Isolated hailstorm likely over Madhya Pradesh on 30th November.
  • Central Maharashtra (Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada):
    • Light isolated rainfall with thunderstorm activity on 30th November.
    • An isolated hailstorm is likely on 30th November.
  • Southern Regions (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal; Kerala & Mahe):
    • Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorm activity over the next five days.
    • Heavy rainfall at isolated places in specific regions on specified dates.

Low-Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal:

A well-marked low-pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a depression over the next 24 hours and further evolve into a cyclonic storm around 2nd December over the Southwest & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal.

  • Light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Nicobar Islands on 30th November.
  • Coastal Tamil Nadu & Puducherry may experience light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall from the 1st to the 4th of December.
  • Coastal Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness similar conditions from 2nd to 4th December.

Wind Warning:

  • Southeast Bay of Bengal: Squally weather with increasing wind speeds from 30th November to 2nd December, reaching Gale Wind speed on 2nd December.
  • Southwest Bay of Bengal: Squally wind speeds likely from 1st December, becoming Gale Wind speed on 2nd December.
  • Central Bay of Bengal: Squally wind speeds expected from 1st December, increasing to Gale Wind speed on 2nd December.

Fishermen Warning:

Fishermen are advised not to venture into specific areas during the specified dates, and those already at sea are urged to return promptly.
