In the aftermath of cyclonic storm Biparjoy, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took to the skies to conduct an aerial survey and assess the extent of the damage caused across the state. The cyclone, which unleashed its fury on several districts, has prompted a swift response from the government to provide relief and rescue operations to affected areas.
Aerial Survey: Gauging the Impact
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wasted no time in taking stock of the situation after cyclone Biparjoy wreaked havoc across various parts of Rajasthan. By conducting an aerial survey, Gehlot aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the damage inflicted on the state’s infrastructure, agriculture, and residential areas. This survey will serve as a crucial step in formulating targeted relief and rehabilitation plans.
Relief and Rescue Operations: SDRF and NDRF in Action
To ensure the safety and well-being of the affected population, the Rajasthan government swiftly mobilized 17 teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and 8 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). These teams are on the ground, actively engaged in relief and rescue operations. Their primary focus is to provide immediate assistance to those trapped or affected by the cyclone, including the evacuation of individuals from vulnerable areas and the provision of essential supplies.
Compensation Measures: Post-Damage Assessment
Understanding the dire need for financial support and relief, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has emphasized that compensation will be provided to those affected by Cyclone Biparjoy. However, before disbursing compensation, a comprehensive survey of the damage is necessary. This assessment will enable the government to accurately determine the extent of the loss suffered by individuals and properties, thereby ensuring fair compensation for all affected parties.
