Assam CM Provides Flood Update: Critical Situation Across Districts

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued a detailed update on the flood situation in the state as of 24th June 2024, highlighting critical developments and ongoing relief efforts.

According to the latest report:

  • The River Kushiyara at Karimganj has risen above the danger level.
  • The average rainfall recorded on 23rd June 2024 was 5.9 mm.
  • Floods have affected 09 districts, 22 Revenue Circles, 793 villages, and a total of 2,04,896 people.
  • There are currently 107 Relief Camps and 104 Relief Centers operational, assisting 12,081 individuals.
