Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude to various stakeholders and unveiled significant development plans during a recent meeting of the Assam Cabinet.
In the meeting, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma placed on record the Assam government’s gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support and leadership. Additionally, appreciation was extended to Hon’ble Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Companies, for their contributions towards the state’s progress.
Furthermore, the Assam Cabinet made several key decisions to promote economic growth and enhance public services. This includes the approval of investments worth ₹1612 crore, aimed at creating 4,125 jobs in the state. Additionally, a new poultry policy was introduced to support the poultry industry and promote agricultural development.
Moreover, the Cabinet focused on strengthening public service delivery systems to ensure efficient governance and better service provision to the citizens of Assam. As part of infrastructure development, the Cabinet approved the construction of a new flyover for Jorhat, which is expected to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the region.
These initiatives underscore the Assam government’s commitment to fostering economic growth, promoting employment opportunities, and enhancing public welfare. The proactive approach towards governance and development is aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous Assam for its citizens.
