Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma conveyed heartfelt birthday wishes to his Cabinet colleague, Shri Pijush Hazarika, applauding his commitment to the state’s progress and effective handling of flood-related challenges.
“A dedicated and hardworking karyakarta, he is sincerely working towards the development of Aai Asomi,” CM Sarma remarked. Hazarika, a prominent Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Assam, has been a stalwart in the Assam legislative assembly since 2011, representing constituencies including Raha and Jagiroad.
CM Sarma expressed admiration for Hazarika’s leadership during flood crises, emphasizing his pivotal role in managing Assam’s response strategies. “Prayers to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Sankardev for his long and healthy life,” CM Sarma added, underscoring Pijush Hazarika’s integral role in the state’s governance and cultural fabric.
Born in Ahutguri, Morigaon district, Hazarika pursued his education at Arya Vidyapeeth College in Guwahati, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts. Beyond politics, Pijush Hazarika’s personal life includes his marriage to actress Aimee Baruah and their two children, reflecting a balance of public service and personal commitment.
