Ayodhya Rape Case: Bakery of Accused Bulldozed for Illegal Construction

Ayodhya Rape Case: On Saturday, the Ayodhya district administration demolished the bakery owned by Moid Khan, a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh confirmed that the structure, consisting of a large and a small room, was illegally built over a pond and has now been razed.

Ayodhya Rape Case: Arrests and Allegations

Moid Khan and his employee, Raju Khan, were arrested on July 30 from the Pura Kalandar area in connection with the rape case. Police allege that the two men raped the girl two months prior and recorded the incident. The crime came to light when the girl was discovered to be pregnant during a medical checkup.

Ayodhya Rape Case: Political Defenses and Claims

Samajwadi Party state general secretary Jai Shankar Pandey defended Moid Khan, claiming that the accusations were part of a conspiracy to discredit the SP. Pandey alleged that the situation is a coordinated effort by the BJP, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, to tarnish the party’s reputation.

Ayodhya Rape Case: Political Repercussions

The case has intensified political tensions, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticizing the SP for its inaction regarding Khan’s involvement. In a state assembly address, Adityanath condemned the party and assured the survivor’s family of strict action. Additionally, two police officers were suspended for delays in the investigation.
