Ayodhya: In a significant stride towards combining luxury with culinary preferences, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed plans for the world’s first seven-star vegetarian hotel in Ayodhya. Announcing an event hosted by a local media outlet, Adityanath stated that among the 25 proposals received for new hotels in Ayodhya, one stands out for its unique dedication to exclusively serving vegetarian meals.
“We have received 25 proposals for establishing hotels in Ayodhya, and among them is a plan to construct a fully vegetarian seven-star hotel,” confirmed Chief Minister Adityanath. This innovative initiative aligns with the city’s burgeoning status as a religious hub, particularly with the forthcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22.
To commemorate the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual, religious functions will be held annually on January 22. Adityanath emphasized the ongoing efforts to enhance Ayodhya’s infrastructure, citing a surge in devotees visiting the temple town. Ayodhya, he envisions, will evolve into a center of religious tourism, boasting world-class facilities and accommodations for over 50,000 believers.
The chief minister also unveiled plans for a green corridor connecting Ayodhya to Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Prayagraj—a move aimed at seamlessly linking key cities. Adityanath acknowledged the transformative changes in Ayodhya’s infrastructure, stressing that the town’s expansion came with proper compensation and alternative retail spaces for those affected.
As Ayodhya continues its journey toward becoming a global pilgrimage destination, the introduction of a seven-star vegetarian hotel stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to innovation and luxury within the realm of spiritual tourism.
