Ayodhya: Following the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony of Ram Lalla, Ayodhya is undergoing a remarkable transformation into a tourism hub for Uttar Pradesh. Devotees visiting Ayodhya will soon have the opportunity to enjoy a distinctive experience—sitting in the water metro—as the state government is set to receive two vessels provided by the Union Inland Waterways Ministry.
An official spokesperson for the government stated that these vessels, upon arrival, will kickstart water metro services between Guptar Ghat and Sant Tulsidas Ghat, covering a distance of approximately 14 kilometers. The vessels aim to attract both tourists and devotees, enhancing the overall tourism experience in Ayodhya.
The official statement highlighted the objective of the Water Metro Service, emphasizing its role in providing modern and cost-effective transportation for the local population. Additionally, it is expected to boost tourism in the region while alleviating traffic congestion within the city.
The vessels will operate on electricity and feature electric charging capabilities. With a charging time that allows them to function for an hour, these air-conditioned vessels can accommodate up to 50 passengers at a time. The installation of easy and fast charging stations at the ghats further enhances the efficiency of this innovative water metro service. As Ayodhya embraces this development, it looks poised to emerge as a prominent destination for both spiritual seekers and adventure-seeking tourists.
