Bihar CM Nitish Kumar: Releases Caste-Based Census Data on Gandhi Jayanti

On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Bihar made a significant announcement, revealing that the data from the caste-based census conducted in the state has been published. “He also shed light on the genesis of this important initiative, stating, “The proposal for caste-based enumeration was passed unanimously in the Legislature”. It was decided with the consent of all the 9 parties of the Bihar Assembly that the state government will conduct caste-based census from its own resources, and its approval was given from the Council of Ministers on 02-06-2022.”
