Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has revealed a significant development in Bihar’s infrastructure landscape. The approval for the “National Highway Inter-Connectivity for Rehabilitation and Upgradation of Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jaynagar-Narhiya Section to 2 Lane/2 Lane with Paved Shoulder Configuration and Strengthening of National Highway 104 (Lot-III) in the State of Bihar Improvement project (Phase-I)” has been granted. This crucial project, estimated at a cost of Rs. 706.393 crore, aims to transform highway connectivity and bolster transportation in the state.
Nitin Gadkari’s announcement underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing road networks and improving transportation infrastructure across the country. The approved project holds immense significance for Bihar, as it addresses the vital Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jaynagar-Narhiya Section, which will be upgraded to a 2-lane configuration with paved shoulders.
