Bipasha Basu was born on 7 January 1979 to a family from Bengal who was living in Delhi at the time. Hirak, her father, is a civil engineer, and Mamta, her mother, is a homemaker. She has one elder sister named Bidisha and one younger sister named Vijayeta.
Basu lived in Pamposh Enclave, Nehru Place, Delhi till he was eight years old and studied at Apeejay High School. She then attended Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir located in Bidhannagar with her family.
Basu was in a relationship with actor Dino Morea from 1996 to 2002 and then with John Abraham from 2002 to 2011. She dated Harman Baweja briefly, but they broke up in 2014. Basu met co-star Karan Singh Grover on the sets of Alone and they fell in love the same year. The couple’s marriage was on 30 April 2016. The couple announced in August 2022 that they are expecting their first child. The daughter of Devi Basu Singh Grover was born on 12 November 2022.
