Ahead of the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a statewide ‘Parivartan Yatra’ (Change Rally) to mobilize support against the coalition government led by Hemant Soren. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the rally on September 20 from Bhognadih in Sahibganj, highlighting the BJP’s mission to expose the failures of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress government.
BJP’s Call for Change
The ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is set to run from September 20 to October 3, covering 5,400 kilometers across 24 districts and 81 assembly constituencies. The BJP aims to bring the coalition government’s shortcomings to light, focusing on issues like corruption, unemployment, and lack of development. The party slogan, “Neither will we tolerate, nor remain silent, we will bring change,” embodies their commitment to change the current political scenario in Jharkhand.
Exposing Corruption and Nepotism
Through this campaign, the BJP is also addressing accusations of widespread corruption and nepotism within the Hemant Soren-led administration. From allegations of money laundering to reported mismanagement of state resources, the BJP asserts that the state has suffered under corrupt practices. The rally seeks to mobilize the public to free Jharkhand from what the BJP calls “family rule” and restore faith in governance.
Focus on Tribal Upliftment and Economic Growth
The BJP has also criticized the Soren government for its alleged failure to support tribal communities and stimulate economic growth. Despite securing power with tribal support, the BJP claims that the Hemant Soren administration has neglected the indigenous population and allowed illegal infiltrators to pose a threat to the state’s cultural identity.
The rally also emphasizes the lack of development in Jharkhand’s industries and infrastructure, which has resulted in minimal job creation and economic stagnation. The BJP plans to address these gaps by focusing on job creation, industrial development, and strengthening Jharkhand’s identity.
A Call for Change and Accountability
As the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ progresses, it hopes to galvanize public support for a leadership change in Jharkhand, aiming to bring greater accountability, development, and economic progress to the state. The BJP’s campaign, which spans multiple regions, is a direct challenge to the Hemant Soren government, pushing for an administration that focuses on development and good governance.
Through this initiative, the BJP is urging the people of Jharkhand to vote for a brighter future and an end to what it terms the “mismanagement and corruption” of the current government.
