“Munjya,” the 2024 Indian Hindi-language supernatural comedy horror film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, faced stiff competition from the blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD” and the all-important T20 World Cup Final match between India and South Africa on its fourth Saturday.
Despite these challenges, “Munjya” is set to reach the ₹100 crore milestone today, a significant achievement for this mid-sized film.
Starring Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, & Sathyaraj, film has performed exceptionally well at the box office. Its remarkable business success debunks the belief that mid-sized films without big stars have no future in cinemas and should opt for direct-to-digital releases instead.
“Munjya” Achieves Box Office Success
The film‘s fourth-weekend earnings were remarkable: ₹95 lakhs on Friday, ₹1.35 crore on Saturday, and ₹1.95 crores on Sunday, bringing the total to ₹99.88 crore. Today, the film is expected to surpass the ₹100 crore mark, underscoring its widespread appeal and box office success.
“Munjya’s” journey to this milestone highlights the potential for mid-sized films to thrive in theaters, even amidst competition from high-profile releases and major sporting events.
