The recruitment of female candidates in the National Defence Academy (NDA) began in the year 2022 with the NDA-148 course, and the first batch of female cadets joined in July 2022. The recruitment of female candidates is as follows:

Women recruits in the National Defence Academy (NDA) receive the same facilities and opportunities as their male counterparts. These include common training and academic curriculum. Additionally, they are provided with clothing specific to their gender and receive equal access to equipment, books, and stationery.
