Bus Accident in Himachal: Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, expressed profound sadness upon learning about the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh that claimed four lives, including the driver and conductor of a (Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation) HRTC bus. The accident occurred in the Jubbal subdivision of Shimla district early on Friday morning.
In his statement, CM Pema Khandu conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. He also extended prayers for the swift recovery of the three individuals who were critically injured and hospitalized.
The bus was en route from Kuddu to Giltari village in Jubbal when it overturned near Chaurien village after veering off the road. According to Rohan Chand Thakur, the Managing Director of HRTC, the accident took place around 6:45 am, and three injured passengers were promptly admitted to the civil hospital in Rohru.
Among the deceased were identified the driver, Karam Dass, and conductor Rakesh Kumar. The other two fatalities were Birma Devi and Dhan Shah from Nepal. The injured individuals Jiyender Rangta, Deepika Thakur, and Hast Bahadur are currently undergoing treatment for critical injuries.
The tragic incident has underscored the need for enhanced road safety measures and vigilant driving practices to prevent such accidents in the future.
