In a significant move to foster entrepreneurship and empower the youth of Meghalaya, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has launched the CM-ELEVATE program in Tura. This program is poised to make a substantial impact on the entrepreneurial landscape of the state, offering comprehensive support and financial incentives for budding business visionaries.
The CM-ELEVATE program is designed to benefit over 20,000 entrepreneurs across Meghalaya during the next 5 years. It comes with a substantial investment of ₹300 Crore, signaling the government’s commitment to nurturing business growth and innovation within the state.
“One of the standout features of the CM-ELEVATE initiative is the financial grant, which extends support of up to 75% for entrepreneurs. This grant is a remarkable boost for those with innovative ideas and aspirations to establish their own businesses, enabling them to take their first steps with confidence”.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma highlighted the impressive progress Meghalaya has made in recent years in becoming a leading state in terms of supporting entrepreneurs. The CM’s E-Championship program, the PRIME program, and now the CM-ELEVATE program are all integral components of this burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem.
