Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam lauded the dedicated efforts of the Assam Forest Department in wildlife conservation, highlighting a heartening success story. In January 2020, officials rescued a one-day-old wild buffalo calf, nurturing it for four years at the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) in Kaziranga.
