CM Manohar Lal Announces PM Surya Ghar & Nutrient Subsidy Approval

Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, commends the Union Cabinet’s decision to approve two significant initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of citizens and farmers. The approval includes the ‘PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme’ with a budget of ₹75,021 crore and a Nutrient Subsidy amounting to ₹24,420 crore for the upcoming Kharif season from April 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024.

In his statement, CM Manohar Lal expresses gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of these transformative schemes. He highlights the significance of the ‘PM Surya Ghar’ initiative, which aims to provide free electricity to households, thereby promoting self-reliance in the energy sector. This initiative holds the potential to alleviate the financial burden on households and enhance their standard of living.

“Additionally, CM Manohar Lal underscores the importance of the Nutrient Subsidy for farmers, emphasizing its role in increasing agricultural productivity and improving the livelihoods of farmers across the country, including those in Haryana. The subsidy is expected to boost agricultural yields by providing essential nutrients to crops, thereby enhancing farm profitability and sustainability”.

“The Chief Minister expresses confidence that these initiatives will contribute significantly to the overall development and prosperity of Haryana and the nation. He lauds the Union Cabinet’s decision as commendable and reiterates his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people”.
