Dr. Mohan Yadav, a stalwart in the Indian community, honors the memory of the eminent freedom fighter, Lala Har Dayal, on the occasion of his death anniversary. Reflecting on Lala Har Dayal’s pivotal role in India’s fight for independence, Dr. Yadav remarked, “Your efforts, strong thoughts, and writings in the freedom movement will serve as a source of inspiration for Indians for ages.”
Lala Har Dayal Mathur, born on 14th October 1884, emerged as a prominent figure in India’s nationalist movement. Renowned for his intellect and commitment to the cause of freedom, he declined a career in the Indian Civil Service to dedicate himself entirely to the struggle for independence. His modest lifestyle and profound intellect left a lasting impact on expatriate Indians in Canada and the United States, particularly during the First World War.
Throughout his life, Lala Har Dayal advocated for the empowerment of the Indian masses and vehemently opposed British colonial rule. His writings and speeches ignited a spark of rebellion among Indians, urging them to strive for self-rule and liberation from foreign domination.
