Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed his deep sorrow at the tragic accident involving the North-East Express, en route from Delhi’s Anand Vihar station to Guwahati’s Kamakhya station, near the Raghunathpur railway station in Buxar district. The incident resulted in the loss of 04 lives and left several passengers injured.
In response to this unfortunate event, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families who have lost their loved ones. He offered his thoughts, saying, “Deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. May the grieving families find the strength to cope with their loss through divine grace.”
Furthermore, Nitish Kumar announced that an ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh would be provided to the families of each of the deceased passengers. This gesture aims to alleviate the financial burden on the affected families during this challenging time.
In addition to the ex-gratia grant, Chief Minister Kumar assured that the state government would take responsibility for providing medical treatment to all the injured passengers. The government is committed to ensuring that every injured individual receives the necessary care and support to aid their recovery.
