Saint Kabir Das, a revered Indian mystic poet born in Varanasi around 1398 CE, remains influential across Hinduism, Sikhism, and Islam, particularly in Sufism. Kabir’s verses are revered in scriptures such as the Guru Granth Sahib and Kabir Sagar, reflecting his critique of organized religions and advocacy for genuine spiritual practice.
Kabir’s philosophy advocated for righteousness, detachment from worldly affairs, and the dissolution of the ego to attain spiritual truth. His teachings continue to inspire the Kabir Panth and Sant Mat sect, recognizing him as a foundational figure.
