In the aftermath of a recent thunderstorm that struck Navelim and Sankhali in Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant wasted no time in personally assessing the extent of damage and assuring affected residents of swift restoration efforts. Visiting the affected areas, Sawant took stock of the loss of properties and pledged full support from the government to aid in the recovery process.
“The Disaster Management Authority and government authorities are actively engaged in assessing the damages caused by the thunderstorm,” Sawant stated during his visit. He emphasized the importance of promptly addressing the needs of those impacted by the natural disaster, ensuring that they receive the necessary assistance to rebuild and recover.
Acknowledging the urgency of the situation, Sawant reassured residents that all efforts would be made to expedite the restoration process. “Restoration for properties shall be given all the necessary assistance,” he affirmed, underscoring the government’s commitment to facilitating the rehabilitation of affected individuals and communities.
One of the chief concerns following the thunderstorm was the disruption of essential services, particularly electricity supply. Sawant addressed this issue directly, stating, “The electricity poles and other public properties shall be restored quickly to restore normalcy.” Recognizing the pivotal role of electricity in daily life, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of restoring power swiftly to minimize inconvenience for residents.
The swift response from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his assurance of government support bring a glimmer of hope to those grappling with the aftermath of the thunderstorm. As assessment and restoration efforts continue, residents can take solace in knowing that their concerns are being heard and addressed by the authorities.
