Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident near Commoscope company T Junction in Verna IDC, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. Terming the incident as unfortunate, Sawant assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
“The procedure has been started to prosecute the driver of the bus who drove under the influence of alcohol,” stated Pramod Sawant. He further revealed that the contractors and subcontractors who recklessly housed laborers in huts at the accident site will also face charges for causing injuries and deaths.
The government is set to blacklist the contractors and subcontractors involved. “No one shall be spared,” Sawant affirmed, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and preventing such negligence in the future.
