Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to congratulate him on assuming office for the third consecutive term and discuss various developmental agendas beneficial for the state. During the meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, Chief Minister Dhami presented Prime Minister Modi with significant tokens of respect, including a replica of the Mahasu Devta temple, prasad materials from Shri Badrinath Dham, and a shawl.
One of the key points of discussion during the meeting was the development of the Mahasu Devta temple area, located in the Jaunsar Bawar region, under a comprehensive master plan. Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the importance of preserving the cultural and spiritual significance of this revered temple.
Additionally, Chief Minister Dhami brought to Prime Minister Modi’s attention the request to maintain the system of the notified rule 2017, considering the unique geographical conditions and strategic perspectives of Uttarakhand. He also sought a re-evaluation of the final report on 24 hydroelectric projects proposed across the Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, and their tributary rivers, in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Power and the Ministry of Power.
Moreover, Chief Minister Dhami sought approval for various infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism in Uttarakhand. These include the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster Khurpiya, the Dehradun-Mussoorie rail line project, and administrative and financial approvals for tunnel projects like Jyoali Kang-Vedang, Sipu-Tola, and Milam-Lapthal.
Chief Minister Dhami also highlighted the significance of the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, seeking substantial financial assistance for the comprehensive development of 16 temples and the improvement of temple routes to facilitate better access for pilgrims.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Dhami underscored the importance of promoting industrial development in Uttarakhand and requested the transfer of land from BHEL Haridwar to the state for the establishment of a Multi Model Logistics Park (MMLP).
