Delhi: In a significant development, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with Honorable Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey in New Delhi, advocating for industrial growth and economic development in the state.
During the meeting, CM Dhami put forth a crucial proposal to transfer 457 acres of land owned by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Haridwar. The identified land is situated adjacent to the Integrated Industrial Estate in Haridwar. Additionally, Dhami requested the transfer of 35 acres of land located along the Haridwar Railway Line to the Uttarakhand Government.
The purpose behind these proposed land transfers is to pave the way for a strategic plan aimed at promoting investment and generating employment opportunities for the youth in Uttarakhand. CM Pushkar Singh outlined the state government’s ambitious vision to set up 700 micro, small, and medium enterprises on the allocated land. The plan also includes establishing numerous significant industrial units with the ultimate goal of creating a Multi-Model Logistics Park.
The proposed initiative aligns with the state’s broader economic development goals and underscores the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth.
