Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has declared that the National People’s Party (NPP) will not field candidates for the two Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh. Sangma, speaking on behalf of the NPP, emphasized the party’s decision to extend support to candidates endorsed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), of which the NPP is a constituent.
“The NPP National Committee has decided not to contest the Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh and has instructed its State Committee to back the NDA candidates,” stated CM Conrad K Sangma, highlighting the party’s commitment to its partnership with the NDA.
Sangma further elaborated on the decision, citing the NPP’s role as a trusted ally within the NDA and underscoring the importance of maintaining unity and cohesion within the alliance. “It is essential for NPP to Support NDA Candidates in Arunachal Pradesh,” Reiterates CM Conrad K Sangma.
