The name Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi became widely recognized during the tumultuous times surrounding the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Padmavat” in 2017. The incident escalated into a nationwide controversy, with Gogamedi playing a prominent role in the opposition to the film.
Apart from the Padmavat controversy, Gogamedi’s involvement in the protests that followed the encounter of gangster Anandpal in Rajasthan brought him into the limelight. The unrest and protests during this period added to the complex narrative surrounding Gogamedi and the Karni Sena.
