On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated educators who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation. In a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, he recognized the extraordinary contributions of 94 teachers by presenting them with the prestigious State Teacher Award. This acknowledgment not only celebrates their commitment to education but also serves as a source of inspiration for the entire teaching community.
Teachers: The Nation-Builders
During his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the profound significance of teachers in the process of nation-building. He lauded their remarkable role, highlighting the dual responsibility they bear. On one hand, teachers mold the present generation across various fields, nurturing them to become future nation-builders. On the other hand, he raised concerns about teachers who, akin to trade unions, abstain from their teaching duties and engage in bureaucratic processes. This detrimental practice hampers the prospects of future generations and has had an adverse impact on the education system.
A Call for Educational Excellence
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s address also called for a transformation in the field of education. Drawing parallels with successful government schemes like PM Jan Dhan, PM Mudra, and PM Standup, he encouraged educators to think innovatively and progress beyond traditional norms. He cited the example of PM Jan Dhan’s accounts, initially met with skepticism but ultimately proving instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic. He stressed that the benefits of government initiatives now directly reach beneficiaries’ accounts, eliminating intermediaries in schemes like old-age pensions.
Embracing Technological Advancements
In line with the commitment to educational enhancement, the Chief Minister inaugurated the distribution of 2.09 lakh tablets to teachers. This move is set to empower educators with technological tools to enrich the learning experience for students. Furthermore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 18,381 smart classes and 880 ICT labs, fostering a technologically advanced environment within schools. He encouraged educators to stay updated with the latest information and utilize these facilities to stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of education.
Embracing Technological Advancements
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of collective responsibility in improving the quality of education. He cited an example of a school in Lucknow where a tree had grown within the school building. He questioned whether the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary should have to intervene to remove such obstacles. He urged teachers to be proactive in addressing such issues and called on students to arrive 15 minutes early, with principals arriving 30 minutes ahead of school hours to facilitate smoother operations.
In honoring teachers and emphasizing the need for educational reform, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s message resonates as a call to action for the education community, underlining the critical role teachers play in building a brighter future for India.
