Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing the Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan in Hardoi, underscored the state government’s commitment to empowering women and advancing social welfare through various progressive initiatives.
Adityanath proclaimed that by December, 1.25 crore families in the state will benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Swamtva Yojana, with 75 lakh families already granted ownership rights under the scheme.
The Chief Minister expressed pride in the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme, facilitating the marriage of 3 lakh daughters, and eliminating the need for fathers to seek loans for their daughters’ weddings. He further lauded the Destitute Women Pension Scheme, providing Rs 12,000 annually to 29 lakh women.
“Highlighting the importance of women’s inclusion in politics, Adityanath credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for centering plans around half of the country’s population, acknowledging their significance. He emphasized the Nari Shakti Vandan Act’s provision for 33 percent reservation, ensuring opportunities for women in the political arena”.
Yogi Adityanath spotlighted the state government’s initiative to increase women personnel in the police force, with a significant rise from 10,000 to 40,000 in just six years. He expressed optimism for a society free from exploitation, envisioning the dream turning into reality.
“Moreover, he praised the success of sports movements initiated by PM Modi, citing India’s achievement of 107 medals in the Asian Games. Adityanath also pledged government assistance and adjustments in services for athletes winning medals at World Championship competitions”.
The Chief Minister affirmed the government’s dedication to advancing opportunities for women and supporting educational growth by providing essentials like uniforms, bags, and books to girls studying in Basic Education Council schools.
Noteworthy dignitaries including Minister of State for Cooperation JPS Rathore, Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal, and other officials attended the event, witnessing CM Yogi Adityanath’s discourse on the state’s commitment to women’s progress, social welfare, and sports achievements.
