CM Yogi Adityanath launched the Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan (plantation campaign).

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the much-awaited Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan (plantation campaign) with great enthusiasm and fervor. The campaign, aimed at fostering environmental conservation and increasing green cover in the state, began from the auspicious locations of Vidur Kuti in Bijnor and Shukteerth in Muzaffarnagar.

The initiative holds immense significance in the context of combating climate change and preserving ecological balance. Through mass participation and public involvement, the Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan endeavors to plant a vast number of trees and create awareness about the vital role that trees play in mitigating environmental challenges.

CM Yogi Adityanath, leading by example, took part in the plantation drive, symbolizing the government’s commitment to environmental protection. Under his guidance, citizens from all walks of life came together to plant saplings, pledging to contribute towards a greener and healthier Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to the plantation campaign, the event marked another milestone with the laying of the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹687 crore in both Bijnor and Shukteerth. These projects, amounting to ₹445 crore in Bijnor and ₹242 crore in Shukteerth, encompass a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and public amenities.

The development projects promise to transform the regions, enhancing the quality of life for the residents and boosting socio-economic growth. From improved roads and connectivity to upgraded healthcare facilities and educational institutions, these initiatives reflect the state government’s unwavering dedication to holistic progress.
