CM Adityanath’s tweet read, “Humble tribute to ‘Paramveer Chakra’ decorated, amazingly brave, hero of Kargil victory, Captain Manoj Kumar on his martyrdom day! Your supreme sacrifice to protect the self-respect of Mother India will continue to strengthen the feeling of ‘Nation is supreme’ in all of us for ages.”
Remembering a Hero
Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, PVC, is remembered for his extraordinary bravery and leadership during the Kargil War in 1999.
His supreme sacrifice & audacious courage in the face of the enemy earned him India’s highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, posthumously.
His legacy continues to inspire and instill a sense of patriotism and dedication to the nation.
